Esteem, esteemed, esteeming, esteems
When we regard others, we
reflect, and
hope most often that the path seen is one
to duplicate, or one that would make oneself feel good if the
roles were reversed. Esteem is also described as a
[consideration] which is merely taking notice.
Esteem is also a judgment and an opinion, so esteem seems to be
conversive in nature, and may only
support poor psychological
enhancement in discerning one's true
environment and purpose.
Esteem's older meaning relates to [appraisal], which would be
[to discover the value of], which is more like
intuition, so it looks like esteem
has been altered in use somewhat, and has little
essence.
Luke 16:15
And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify
yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that
which is highly esteemed among men is abomination
in the sight of God.
