Cherokee Medicine : Four Directions :
Four Mothers : Four H
| Brought forward in time, The Cherokee people were aware of a
sacred system within our psyches, although there is confusion
between the "four H's" and another version that is similar, and
the differences between them are somewhat similar but seem like
tic-tac-toe in discerning the navigation. Originally it was
Otis Hall (photo right) that helped to introduce the fourth H
in what is known today as "Four H", which
was related to health, but before this, it is claimed
that the early system, originally recorded very close to 1900,
consisted of three parts, that of head, hand, and heart. |

To bring a reader up to date, native plant medicine has been
researched by members of the people, such as J. T. Garrett, who
wrote a book entitled "The Cherokee Herbal" and a living member
of the Eastern Band of the Cherokee from North Carolina. In his
book, he describes each area of what I have originally referred
to as the "four mothers" (in a deeper context of meaning), but
these directions can also be viewed in other ways. In Garrett's
book, he lists hundreds of plants and flowers related to this
inner mapping system of which he describes as "love potions",
and these are what nature has given us freely, but if looking at
our present world, we can see many of these concepts are hidden
by corporate industry and the usage of planet earth at their
desire versus the other way around.
"North Medicine is about a sense of
freedom and a connection to the stars, and the
greater Universal Circle. The focus is on the
respiratory system, the nervous system, the ears,
nose, throat, and mouth as well as on allaying those
influences that interfere with our balance and
breathing...The color of the North is sky, or dark blue or
purple...In the same way that Cherokee Medicine is
related to the Four Directions, so are the "spirit"
connections to animals, birds, and natural substances such
as plants and trees. The focus in the North was more on
calmness, to relieve tension, and on prevention rather
than treatment. North Medicine focused on protecting and
clearing the "wind" for us to survive with a "good
Medicine breath of life"."

Love's Infinite In-measurable Power

The power of love and curiosity is a constant pull direct to
God. Without joy's spiritual primer, our connection to God and
the 5th seal could be lost forever. When joy's power converts
faith to respect, love is accessed at a higher level. When we
begin any relationship, it begins with the shadow of faith in
the background. We first use this inner power curiosity to start
a fired expression of passion.

The spiritual sub categories contained in all emotions are
tied directly to the center Love. They connect all our hard
wiring if you may imagine. Through the beast who oversees the
other four horses, awareness is averted in black, convinced in
white, blinded in
red, and defeated in pale.
Becoming aware is your first step in realizing you create
primers in your thoughts that will guide you to sew a different
fabric of understanding. Your consciousness becomes enlightened.
